updates, prayer requests, etc.

Whew.. I am going to be one busy bee this fall!
School starts in 9 days, and I am a little excited. I am having mixed feelings though, cause I rotate between being excited and not wanting to go. I am ready to be done. I was bummed yesterday when I met with my adviser, and she told me I had more hours to complete than I thought. She told me it would take me 4 semesters to graduate, and I was not ok with that, so I did some rearranging, and it looks as though I'll still be able to graduate in the summer of 08!! I'll be going full time, and working part time.
Baron and I also start our foster training next month, but that should only be a few hours a week/month.

So, the next issue we have to deal with is money. fun fun.. I hate money. I am learning to spend it better and be a better steward of the money I've been blessed with, but school poses a problem. If you all will do me a favor and pray that my financial aid comes in before Aug 31st, that'd be great. If the money doesn't come in by the 31st of august, I will have to pay half of my tuition on sept 1st. I know I will get enough loans, it's just a matter of when it comes... (I've been told it will be here in the next 5 weeks, but I do need it before then!)
thankfully we have the money in our adoption funds, but it's tied up in CD's, and we will lose money if we cash out early. I have faith that God will provide, I just am not 100% sure this is His plan, so I worry. I wonder if my having so much trouble getting into school is because of poor decisions in the past on my part, or if it is just not His plan. I just don't know, and my desire to be done and over with school pushes me to the conclusion that I have 2 options. quit and never go back, or push to get done asap. I know that He is sovereign, but sometimes its hard not knowing if you're doing the right thing. Ok, enough of money/worry/school talk, it's making me nervous just typing about it!

Also, I think we're going to try to go on a missions trip at the beginning of next year, before we get certified to foster, so stick with us as we raise money for that. It will be a trip to Mexico to help build houses at Matamores. (sp?) Both Baron and I are very excited about it!

More prayer requests for you all, if you will pray that God leads me as I lead the 8th graders this week at youth week and beyond through this school year, that I, through Him, am able to impact their lives and help them lead a godly life, filled with thanksgiving for His many blessings.
I am one of the newest small group youth leaders, and I am pumped! God is so good! Last night at funorama worship, there were more than 50 8th graders!! PTL! Almost 300 youth all together! We've implemented a curriculum, summarized: Teaching kids to hear the still small voice of God as God invites them into his story when all the voices of youth culture are screaming in their ears.
we'll be addressing sex, media, violence, drugs, materialism, etc.
what a topic!

I guess that's about all the updates I've got. I feel like I've written a novel!

In Him,
Megs
