so sorry.

So sorry to all of you loyal readers out there. I know it's been a while since I posted, but I needed to think a while.

When I last left you, Baron and I had just found out we were pregnant again. It was so very early, as those of you who are currently ttc (trying to concieve. remember that one, I'll probably use it often) understand, I am a pee-on-a-stick-aholic.

www.peeonastick.com (for those of you who are ttc, and have never seen this sight, you will too become poas-aholics! haha..

Baron and I never let ourselves get too excited, until we make it to that first dr. appointment, but that hardly ever happens. It happened the first time, and that was it. We are dealing alright, I hate to say that after the fourth miscarriage it becomes old hat, but we didn't get a chance to really even get our hopes up this time. I knew I was pregnant for 3 days before I started bleeding. Somebody recently said that maybe it's something else thats making that hormone, not a pregnancy... lets all pray that it's not that, as that is a rare form of cancer. otherwise, it pretty much doesn't happen. We are moving on, just with another small hole in our hearts.

In other news, I started school 2 weeks ago. fun fun! I am actually having a good time, though things have not been easy. I finally got my financial aid, and since I had some left over money that had to be used for "educational" purposes, I bought myself a laptop. I am now mobile. :) yahoo!
I am already feeling behind as I had to miss 2 days of school due to the fact that my mother had to be admitted to the hospital last wednesday for some cardiac monitoring and tests. She was complaining of chest pain and it was scaring her. Anyway, turns out the pain itself was from a pinched nerve in her neck, not a heart attack. But she did have an "episode" while she was hooked up to the monitor on thursday night, that startled the nurses, but no cause was found, and they have sent her home. While a little worried, I am pretty confident, as she was at the best cardiac care hospitals in the state. With such a strong family history of heart problems, they did very extensive testing, and found nothing, so praise the Lord!

Lets see.. We continue our foster-adopt training on the 18th of september, and we are both looking forward to that class. Please keep us in your prayers as we juggle our work and school schedules to make this happen. Please also keep us in your prayers that we will be able to be open to God's will, and be ever prayerful our selves through this process. Please pray that we are able to learn what we'll need for this journey ahead!

That's about it for now folks, Love you all!

updates, prayer requests, etc.

Whew.. I am going to be one busy bee this fall!
School starts in 9 days, and I am a little excited. I am having mixed feelings though, cause I rotate between being excited and not wanting to go. I am ready to be done. I was bummed yesterday when I met with my adviser, and she told me I had more hours to complete than I thought. She told me it would take me 4 semesters to graduate, and I was not ok with that, so I did some rearranging, and it looks as though I'll still be able to graduate in the summer of 08!! I'll be going full time, and working part time.
Baron and I also start our foster training next month, but that should only be a few hours a week/month.

So, the next issue we have to deal with is money. fun fun.. I hate money. I am learning to spend it better and be a better steward of the money I've been blessed with, but school poses a problem. If you all will do me a favor and pray that my financial aid comes in before Aug 31st, that'd be great. If the money doesn't come in by the 31st of august, I will have to pay half of my tuition on sept 1st. I know I will get enough loans, it's just a matter of when it comes... (I've been told it will be here in the next 5 weeks, but I do need it before then!)
thankfully we have the money in our adoption funds, but it's tied up in CD's, and we will lose money if we cash out early. I have faith that God will provide, I just am not 100% sure this is His plan, so I worry. I wonder if my having so much trouble getting into school is because of poor decisions in the past on my part, or if it is just not His plan. I just don't know, and my desire to be done and over with school pushes me to the conclusion that I have 2 options. quit and never go back, or push to get done asap. I know that He is sovereign, but sometimes its hard not knowing if you're doing the right thing. Ok, enough of money/worry/school talk, it's making me nervous just typing about it!

Also, I think we're going to try to go on a missions trip at the beginning of next year, before we get certified to foster, so stick with us as we raise money for that. It will be a trip to Mexico to help build houses at Matamores. (sp?) Both Baron and I are very excited about it!

More prayer requests for you all, if you will pray that God leads me as I lead the 8th graders this week at youth week and beyond through this school year, that I, through Him, am able to impact their lives and help them lead a godly life, filled with thanksgiving for His many blessings.
I am one of the newest small group youth leaders, and I am pumped! God is so good! Last night at funorama worship, there were more than 50 8th graders!! PTL! Almost 300 youth all together! We've implemented a curriculum, summarized: Teaching kids to hear the still small voice of God as God invites them into his story when all the voices of youth culture are screaming in their ears.
we'll be addressing sex, media, violence, drugs, materialism, etc.
what a topic!

I guess that's about all the updates I've got. I feel like I've written a novel!

In Him,
Megs
